You can find out whether your destination is likely to have good weather the month you'll be traveling. There are Trip Planners where you can save your favorites in one place. Many Packing checklists are available that offer checklists of to-do items as well as packing lists for one-bag travel, ski vacations, biking trips, ... etc.

Frommer's Packing Tips section has printable checklists of common items that travelers bring on trips. There is a general travel one and one that is geared towards activities, such as biking and skiing. It's a great tool to have to make sure that nothing has been forgotten.

Rick Steves' Packing List

Rick Steves, the popular guide book author, also has a packing checklist.

Universal Packing List

The Universal Packing List site generates a list of things to do and pack based on the weather and the activity types that you enter into the website. The list of things to do include items such as "forward mail," and "get maps." The list of things to pack include "cell phone charger" and razor. It's a very good and thorough check list.

Yahoo! Trip Planner lets you bookmark hotels, attractions, restaurants, and maps.

Weather Channel

Weather forecast for domestic and international cities. It also gives you averages for each month of the year, which can be very useful in travel planning.

Weatherbase

Weatherbase doesn't provide weather forecasts has useful historical data such as "average number of day above 90," "average number of days with thunderstorms," and other similar types of data, which can be very useful in planning a vacation.
