Links to Lodging, Flights, and Road Trips are located at the top of the site as well. Particularly useful are the links and articles about specific places all grouped on one page. Choosing a Destination

When you are searching for your next vacation idea, online versions of guide books and magazines can be a great resource. Many publications, such as Frommer's and Conde Nast have an Ideas section arranged by themes, such as culture, cuisine, and islands. In this section, you'll also find links to festivals, great hotels, and places to shop that you can plan your vacation around. You can also check out the Publications and Other Media Category to find websites with podcasts, blogs, and RSS feeds of travel articles.

Various cruise-related resources are listed in this category. There are photos and virtual tours on Cruise411 and blogs about cruises on USA Today. Many of the major travel booking sites, such as Expedia, book cruises as well. You can also book cruises on the cruise lines' websites as well as obtain more information. Government websites can be useful in planning a trip. State Websites often provide information on state parks, events, and road conditions. State Tourism Websites often provide a great amount of information on hotels, campgrounds, parks, and activities such as golf, sailing, and rock climbing. Also, the sites often have nice interfaces and are not cluttered with ads.

International Travel

The International Category discusses various government resources, such as the Travel Warnings and the Consular Information Sheets issued by the State Department. You'll also find other travel resources such as Frommer's Entry Requirements & Customs, which describes the entry requirements for a country. Under the Lodging Category, you'll find links to Hotel Review sites as well as to sites for Booking Hotels.
